|My family all comes from Ohio and unfortunately I do not live there so I make a lot of Ohio requests. I try to come down as often as I can and do the big cemeteries but I don't make it very often. Thank you to all who help!!!|

|Joel Shore||Re: Photo request for John Sargent (1850) at Mt Hope|
I've been researching this request. The memorial for John Sargent is for a child who died at age 21 months of dysentery. Unfortunately, his burial location is a dead end and I've checked a survey of surviving legible markers at the cemetery and haven't been able to find one for him. From his residence at time of death and looking at census records on Ancestry.com, I can figure out the family that he was likely a member of...although the 1850 census shows multiple people of child-bearing age in the residence so it is hard to determine whose child he is. There is a Henry and Arabella Sargent, who might be the parents, and who are buried elsewhere at Mt Hope...but the plot map for where they are shows no sign of him. The other possible parents, John and Lucy Sargent, I can't find any further information on.
Can you tell us anything more about the person who you are looking for?

Are you related to the Blackmores?
If so, may I ask how. Owen was the brother of my great-grandfather, Ernest.
If not, would it be possible to transfer to me so that I might update info on his site and maintain. Thank you.

You're very welcome. There are 8 other Gutzki's in Mt Hope Cemetery. If you have any interest in them, let me know. I haven't photographed yet, but I do have their names/locations.

Thank-you Laura! I don't mean to be the "Find a Grave" police, it is confusing when they change the name of a cemetery, but now perhaps relatives and friends can find your entries more easily! Thank-you for all you do for the Maitland Cemetery and for responding so quickly!
