Remember my wonderful snow-white friend Winter too. He and Farley Mowat certainly changed my mind about wolves. I am retired military, railroad engineer, fifth-generation Californian, and hold The Order of California from the California State Adjutant General for my government service. I am trying to memorialize what I have found in people's stories, but mostly, trying to share the vast research done by my brother, Ken. Our most prominent ancestors are the McPherson's of Alexander Valley, California and the Lea's of the Clear Lake, California area. My interests include Sons of the American Revolution, and other families; Abbott, Combs, Curry, Hale, Hinde, Hixson, Kincheloe, Leach, Moore, Robinson, Sierck, Topper, Vassar, and Zittleman. |
These makes sense to me: "If you wish for a transfer,no problem. If they are not related to me, then I see no reason to keep them. All you have to do is ask." (Find A Grave #....4213)
"I make Memorials in hopes of their family wanting them some day. I'm not into having the most Memorials!" (anon)
"I always try to check for duplicates before posting, but sometimes miss them. I will make corrections or I will gladly transfer ownership of any of your relatives memorials to you. As a matter of fact, if you know more about these folks than I do, don't be surprised to get a transfer. If a memorial is a direct ancestor of mine, we can work out some agreement." First of all, I’m really pleased that you like the work of my countryman, Farley Mowat. He was amazing, wasn’t he? Second of all, thank you for all your great work on memorials. Looking at what you say in your bio, I think we are very much on the same page.
Third of all, I thought you would want it brought to your attention that the memorial 115607742 that you created for Elizebath Mayhorn on August 16, 2013 is a duplicate of memorial 111895092 that Andrea Coleman created for her on Jun 6, 2013.
Yours has a full transcription, but hers has the family links, so maybe you could get the administration to merge them? I'm not sure how that works. Anyway, I thought you would want to know.
All the best,
(and married to a cousin of the son-in-law of Elizebath Mayhorn)

Hello - If you are offering to transfer this memorial. I would really appreciate it. She is realted by Browns, McCrackens and Vassars. If you are a Vassar, I have a lot of information on this family.
Find A Grave Memorial# 116691209.
If you know of an active family Vassar member, can you let me know. I have a lot of stories and maybe be able to help them trace this family back to Scotland in year 1300
Than you for everything...

Great...the transfer has been made!
When I was researching Jack, I ran across memorials for Clyde and Olene Vasser (with an E instead of A) in Golden Gate National Cemetery. The dates for Clyde match his California Death Index (under Vassar) with the exception of the year of birth (off by two years). Clyde's memorial is #3644032 and Olene's memorial is #106009284. I thought I would pass the info along since you have more knowledge of the family.

I believe I have created a memorial for one of your Vassar relatives. If so, please feel free to request a transfer. :-)

Appreciate you letting me know.

No Problem, Hey, I am not related to any McPherson's so if you want transfers just go to the memorial you want and let me know if your related, lol, I realize your a McPherson, but lol, doesn't mean your related to all McPhersons. I had a woman call me a terrorist once because I wouldn't transfer a memorial to her. She said because she had the name meant she was related to all that had the same name as she. lol I really don't care how distant you are as long as your related.

Just an FYI I have found all of his children and asked them to be linked. And in the 1880 census I saw he had a niece living with him also. I have not found her parents but will later tonight.
