I have been able to trace my heritage back to Great Grandparents: Randall Woods & Elizabeth McCrory Woods, William Floyd Mitchell & Julia Belle McCain Mitchell. Grandparents: John Benjamin Woods & Lula Mae Mitchell Woods, Violet Proffer Weston. Parents: Harvey Dunn & Neva Jane Woods Dunn. I have 1 sister, Mona Ann Dunn Harrison and 1 brother, Harvey Dunn, Jr.My Dad passed away on January 10, 2010. After he died I realized that we knew very little about our family and they were all getting very old and if I didn't get started I might not be able to find out about my heritage.I may ask for help and if I can, I will be happy to help anyone that I can.On Father's Day of 2010, my husband & I went to Louisiana. While there we took photos of my Daddy's grave maker and I have loaded it on this site. We also fulfilled some requests in the same cemetery. We went to the cemetery where my Great-grandmother, Elizabeth Woods is buried and got pictures of her grave and also found my great great grandparents, Nancy & Huey McCrory. I had my mother with me, so it was even more thrilling to be able to "meet" all of them with her. I know she was happy about the find because she told a cousin about it immediately. Since my Daddy passed away she isn't very happy about many things so I'm glad I was able to bring some happiness to her.I have the greatest husband is the world. He is driving me around to all these photo requests and taking the pictures and hasn't said one thing negative. I Love him dearly. It has been really hot in Georgia, but he just asks for the directions and off we go. I hope one day to get to go to some of his families graves and get pictures for his Mom & Dad.
