Bio Photo Greetings fellow Find A Grave members. I'm Mike Tillinghast and live in Northern Ohio and am working on my family genealogy. I am a direct descendant of Pardon Tillinghast. I am his 11th Generation Great Grandson and the 7th generation on our Tillinghast Family Farm. My fraternal twin brother and I raise cattle and horses.

Also researching other family relatives: Sommers, Gardner, Stacey, Hine, Welch, Hill and Burnham.

I am a photo volunteer for Find A Grave. It is a very good past time and I enjoy "Headstone Hopping" all around Erie and Huron Counties. It is very rewarding to assist families and provide genealogical information. I also enjoy the excitement and satisfaction when I find that elusive headstone I've been looking for after a long challenging search.

Also taking photos of grave sites in area cemeteries for our local Historical Society.

One impressive thing I have observed in every cemetery I have been in is that veterans from the Revolutionary War to the present have veteran markers at their grave sites. As a Navy veteran, I am very pleased that my fellow veterans from all branches are remembered. One of my ongoing local cemetery projects is to obtain grave markers for veterans that do not have one.

My long range intent is to provide photos and/or Memorials for those in area cemeteries who do not have them.

With the exception of my relatives, I will be glad to transfer any memorial. Please feel free to ask.

RE: Baumer, Jacob
I have him with unknown cemetery. Just FYI, I saw the note about St. Anthony Catholic and Milan Cemeteries: Wondering why it wasn't correctable. Baumers were Catholic anyway.

Baumer, Jacob
Well, a little more lookie and I found that Jacob died in Phoenix, AZ in 1972. Maybe his body was brought back, but don't worry about it, IOW.

You took a photo of the grave of Alice Gertrude (Van Boxel) Baumer. Was she with her husband, Jacob John? I do not have his death date. They lived in Cleveland most of their life, but, Jacob was from Fremont, Sandusky, Ohio. His parents are buried at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fremont, OH. Alice Baumer: 30352131.

Henrietta South Cemetery
Hi Mike,
In 2014 I discovered that this cemetery was undocumented on Find A Grave. I searched several of the names and didn't find them on Find A Grave at all. Over a week period I made several trips to this cemetery and totally photographed and documented every headstone in this cemetery. I even contacted the township to get burial records as well. Now I am discovering several memorials you created that are now popping up in this cemetery that are duplicates to the memorials I created. What cemetery did you have these memorials in in the first place? Some of them have been transferred to someone that doesn't have a message board or email option so I have no way to contact them. Your duplicate memorials should be deleted. I spent hours and days documenting this cemetery and it's not fair that you undercut my work. Your memorials have earlier dates, but I know how some creators create memorials only to change information at a later date to their advantage. I hope that isn't the case here, but I know I searched for several of the names and didn't find them before I created them, so I won't be deleting my memorials.
Thanks, Bev

I need a photo of this headstone. I added this man and someone is questioning as to whether it is him or not and if he served in the Civil War. If you can get it I really would appreciate it. He is on pg 46 of the HCO Cem Inscription book. 2nd Add. 1889 - Row 4, Stone 11. Thanks, Barb
