Greetings fellow Find A Grave members. I'm Mike Tillinghast and live in Northern Ohio and am working on my family genealogy. I am a direct descendant of Pardon Tillinghast. I am his 11th Generation Great Grandson and the 7th generation on our Tillinghast Family Farm. My fraternal twin brother and I raise cattle and horses.|
Also researching other family relatives: Sommers, Gardner, Stacey, Hine, Welch, Hill and Burnham.
I am a photo volunteer for Find A Grave. It is a very good past time and I enjoy "Headstone Hopping" all around Erie and Huron Counties. It is very rewarding to assist families and provide genealogical information. I also enjoy the excitement and satisfaction when I find that elusive headstone I've been looking for after a long challenging search.
Also taking photos of grave sites in area cemeteries for our local Historical Society.
One impressive thing I have observed in every cemetery I have been in is that veterans from the Revolutionary War to the present have veteran markers at their grave sites. As a Navy veteran, I am very pleased that my fellow veterans from all branches are remembered. One of my ongoing local cemetery projects is to obtain grave markers for veterans that do not have one.
My long range intent is to provide photos and/or Memorials for those in area cemeteries who do not have them.
With the exception of my relatives, I will be glad to transfer any memorial. Please feel free to ask.

Mike, how goes it? Has the weather begun to change or is it an Indian Summer? I wanted to get up there but just didn't find the time, soon I hope, before the winter sets in.

Thank you. There was no Art Buckwald in our family.

Are you related to Paul & Hazel Buckwald that are buried in Cable Rd cemetery? I am their granddaughter.

Calvary Cemetery isn't very cooperative in looking up grave locations to Find-A-Grave photography volunteers - they'll only do 3 at a time and recently cut me off from asking for any more locations. I was trying to add locations for the very large backlog of photo reqs for the cemetery; there's over 400 requests. Those that include the grave plot get photographed first, so I'd recommend that you add that info to the Find-A-Grave memorial page. Call 216-641-7575 for the cemetery office; they'll provide you 3 locations without charging you for them.

The William & Sarah C. Huych buried in Woodlawn cemetery are the parents of the children buried in Mesnard/ Axe factory cemetery. William is the son of the Henry & Catherine Huyck buried in Five points. So once again you have been very helpful!! Henry Huyck was the brother of my Jacob Huyck, so all of those Huyck's are related to me. :-)
Thank you so very much for your help!! Now I need to go check out the nice link you just sent me!
Smiles from Judi in Missouri!!

Thank you Mike! :-)
Also a big thank you for putting people on Find A Grave!
You don't happen to know if anyone has the actual burial records for Hinckley Cemetery do you? I'm looking for Sarah Crawford Huyck, her husband Jacob Huyck died in 1835 and is buried there, but I don't think there is a tombstone for her.
