My favorite thing to do on here is to find information in an old newspaper, look on findagrave, and match it to someone on here. |
I think it would be fantastic if every memorial had a picture and a story. I always picture family members looking at this site, looking for long past relatives, and finding more than a death and birthdate, but a snippet of their lives! That is my goal.
While you are busy doing your own find a grave thing, please visit Veteran's Graves With No Flowers!!!!!!!. It would be greatly appreciated. I can't stand to see someone who died for our country with no flowers on their memorial.

I agree with you, I think it would be great for each memorial to have a photo and a bio that at least tells a little about the person's life. There is more to a headstone than a few dates and maybe a religious symbol or organization mark, etc. some lived 100 years or more you just cannot tell me it wouldn't be great to read what their lives were like, places they visited, how they lived, traditions, I could go on and on. I love history and I really enjoy reading the bios on findagrave.
I always leave tokens for our veterans and I did visit the ones you have listed but sadly there are many more and I know you cannot find them all so we should each make it a point to leave tokens on the memorial of all veterans.
Hope you're having a great weekend!
Thank you so much for visiting Ralph and being a friend to him. In the end it is love that always wins out. God Bless.

You are very welcome. I was there photographing the grave stones of many of my relatives and am glad that I was able to fulfill your request.

No prob, Brenda. Thank you for the sweet, sweet compliment about my pet memorials and the boost to my ego. LOL
The instructions are at Help with Find A Grave under Actions(link in the side menu on the left of this page, fifth from top). Here's the direct link. Hope this helps. If you have any questions or issues, let me know.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. I've been the sole caregiver to my own for over 22 years. I know the toll it takes on the one who takes care of an ill parent. I'm wishing you the very best in your loving endeavors.
Thank you so much for the concern regarding my own. She's made her choice after all these years. I hope she's happy. My brother will not put up with any nonsense that I've done all these years.
Thank you, too, for your loving thoughts while I went through this and the wreck. I so very much appreciate your thoughtfulness.
Lastly, thanks for sending me the memorial numbers to veterans Brumley and Carneal. I've added them to my list.
You and your mother are in my thoughts and prayers. With much love and many huggles to you, Suse

I do not know your father. I see your name on other memorials and read your page and find your family. I just like to see new faces and leave a token for the departed. Everyone should be remembered!
