I began my search for ancestors in 1998, after a family reunion when one of my cousins prepared a copy of my family's history back to our 1699 immigrant grandfather. Since then, I've been grave-digging ferociously. My favorite vacation is when we hop from one graveyard in Ohio to one in Illinois and then on to Michigan.
I will happily exchange family histories and photographs with cousins near and distant, knowing that each of us only has a small piece of our family's story. And the only way to fill in gaps is to share.
