James R. Sneed I know it is in the North East section of the cemetery. If you would like to meet me at the cemetery sometime we can look for it. I think it is in the back left of that section. I just live down the street and could meet you any time. Please call me at 214-463-8423 and we can set up a time to meet.
RE: Dorsey Lee Reddick Hi Deborah ... The best information I have is that in 1929, the burial would be at the unit where he died ... or that unit would know the location. It would seem that somebody at the Angleton unit TDCJ could give you information on the location and whether or not a death certificate was issued at that time. You might try going on line to TDCJ and see what you can find. I hope you can find something positive. Wish I could be of more help.
Dorsey Lee Reddick Hi Deborah ... First I must apologize for not responding sooner. Lots going on. There is no entry in the Walker County, TX. cemetery book for anyone with the Reddick surname. If you happen to have his Tx. state number, I could perhaps see if there is any record that is not listed in the material I have access to. Also, do you know for a fact that he is buried in the Byrd cemetery? Until fairly recently, all prison units had their own cemeteries and if Mr.Reddick did not die in a Huntsville/Walker County unit, he probably would not be buried here. It's also possible that a family member claimed the body. Sorry to have a negative report. Virginia
