Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello! I have been working on my family genealogy/history for a number of years (!!) and would like to thank all those who have made contributions to Find A Grave....I finally got around to making contributions, at first involving mostly my 'immediate' family (450 memorials by now), but now mostly non-family.

Paternal ancestor surnames include: Wesley, Taylor, Randolph, Wilson, Huff, Craig, Smiley, Higgins, Pierce, Simpson, Thompson, Walker, Goodall, Campbell, Carson, Downing, Minor, Ford, Aiken, Hampton, Amend, McMillan, McCollum, Trumbo, Custer, Brown, Sutherland & Hale.
Maternal ancestor names include: Garden, Spreng, Baird, Coble, Horner, Merckle, Young, Stoner, Matthews, Barrett, Clark, Holsworth, Witten, Brandenberry, Murdock, Streeter, Knosp, Faber & Wells.

Ancestry includes English, Scottish, Irish, French-Speaking Germans and German-Speaking Germans.

The current Findagrave project on which I have been heavily involved, with other contributors, is to create a complete listing of the burials of the Stafford (Kansas) Cemetery. Most of the names are established already. Now we are making links and adding marker photos and obituaries/biographies to the memorials. Making excellent progress.....!!

RE: Lula Belle Calder Godby
Thanks for that explanation!! Sorry to be SO dense. I'll blame it on all this rain we've been having. My brain is water logged. HA! As I said before it really doesn't bother me that it's a duplicate but the lady who emailed me requested that we delete it. I guess if it doesn't get done it's not the end of the world. :o)

Take care...Margaret

RE: Lula Belle Calder Godby
If you created it then you should be able to delete it. You made me the manager so I can't. Have you tried to delete it?

Lula Belle Calder Godby

I got an email from contributor Charlotte McConaha asking that I delete the memorial for Lula Belle Calder Godby because it's a duplicate of one she already created. It's also in the wrong cemetery. FindAGrave wouldn't let me delete it because I didn't originally create it. The one you first created is # 82407935

Charlotte's original is # 80671613 in case you want to view it.

Hope you're well and surviving this awful drought. Wish I could send you some of the rain we're getting here in Ohio.

I share this ancestor with you and I am wondering how you found info about his father drowning in Iowa in 1840? I have been unable to confirm anything about William's death. If you could provide any proof, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, J.S.

RE: 460th Bomb Group

I made a query on the 460th BG forum and received a reply that Herman Bower was the radio operator of B24 SN 41-29326 that was piloted by Lt George Swazey on the April 23, 1944 mission. There is a Missing Air Crew Report (MACR #4397) for this crew. These reports usually contain the names and home addresses of all of the crew members along with relevant information about the mission and the fate of each crew member, if known. The reports are available through on a free trial basis.
