I am originally from California but now live in Texas. Did not know much about my family history just bits and pieces. I just started working on my ancestry several years ago. I somehow found this website not too long ago and though that it was neat. My family the Carters, Meeks, Kuykendall and Hines are from Van Zandt County Texas area. My other side the Simons, Ahrenkiel, and Lanes are from the Iowa to Missouri area. The Ungrues are from Germany.
I am married, have 2 sons (we lost the youngest in 2008), and have 3 wonderful grandsons.
