FIRST AND FOREMOST, I TAKE MY STEWARDSHIP OF MEMORIAL PAGES SERIOUSLY. IF I AM SENT SUGGESTIONS, VIA THE EDIT TAB, THEY ARE ADDRESSED PROMPTLY AND APPROPRIATELY WITH HONOR AND RESPECT FOR THE DECEASED.|
If you have suggestions for any of the memorial pages that I manage, please contact me via the Edit tab on the memorial page. Also, unintentional duplicate pages are a fact of life. If you find a duplicate page, and mine is newer, please let me know and I will remove it.
TRANSFER POLICY - PLEASE READ
I will transfer pages according to the following FAG guidelines, unless I am related myself.
From FAG guidelines: "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Be sure to explain your relationship in the request! Bulk surname requests should not be made.
Also, the goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."
IF YOU MEET THE ABOVE GUIDELINES, PLEASE CONTACT ME THROUGH THE EDIT TAB WITH ANY TRANSFER REQUESTS. CLICK THE SUGGEST A CORRECTION LINK TO OPEN A NEW WINDOW, EXPLAIN YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE PERSON ON THE PAGE, AND INCLUDE YOUR FAG MEMBER NUMBER. It is easier to follow the link to the memorial page than if I am contacted via my email address or a public message. If you want me to do a favor for you, please don't make it more difficult, as my time is as valuable as yours.
I sometimes have additional photos, beyond what is posted on a memorial page. I am happy to share those photos when requested.
You have my permission to use any of my photos for your own personal records, family specific websites, or your Ancestry.com family tree, but please don't upload them to other cemetery based websites.

Thank you for the prompt edits and for adding the biographical info. Like yourself, I feel the memorials are about "them" and not "us", and I wish them to be the best they can be. So, if I stumble across info while researching, I share only in the hope it can be put to good use and nothing more.
That being said, it was very thoughtful for you to include the hyperlink in Minnie's memorial and source me. Thank you for that also.
Have a good week ahead,

That is very cool, thank you for pointing that out, Chuck! My husband is kin to the Mangrich's, the Schares, and the Nemmers in Gilbertville, Raymond, and Jesup cemeteries. Walking through those cemeteries and looking at the stones is walking through family history. It's very cool! Again, thank you for making all the updates I have been requesting lately. There will be more, I'm sure of it. :) Have a great day!

With common names...it's not uncommon to find the same names in cemeteries....and then you through in descendants with the same names...
Agree...People should always try contacting the creator of the memorial first...before finda grave..
Bloes is pretty unusual...so this one really was a puzzle...glad, I finally got it right...
Appreicate your help...

John & Mary Bloes Marriage, Waterloo Evening Courier February 1, 1912
ODD SIMILARITY IN NAMES NOTED
A peculiarity in names is shown by the return of the notice of the wedding of John Bloes and Miss Marie Bloes, which was solemnized by Father Joseph Zeyan of Gilbertville. The names of the fathers of the young couple are the same, both Nicolas Bloes. The maiden name of the groom's mother was Susanna Nel, and the maiden name of the bride's mother was Susanna Phillips. Both the bride and groom were born near Gilbertville. They are not first cousins.

Thank you Chuck! There will be more to come as I work my way down the family line. I always appreciate your swift response, and willingness to see each memorial updated. I think it's wonderful to see families "reunited" so to speak, on Find A Grave. It's a team effort indeed. Keep up the good work! :)

Sounds good to me...
I have a very indirect tie to the Nicholas Bloes who lived in Ashton, Iowa....took me a while to figure out there were two Nick & Susan Bloes in Iowa....and they have children married to each other...got pretty confusing...
I'm guessing the two Nick's were cousins...has to be some relation..
I did find this article: fits with his passport photo...
