Bio

I am the oldest of 5 siblings & I was born in Chico, California to Betty Pierce Horn & Lester E. Horn on what my mom says what the hottest day of the year.

I have been interested in genealogy research & building my family tree as a hobby for most of my adult life. I became interested when my grandma Opal Burns Horn gave me a rather large book about the Burns family in 1973. She also sent a 2nd cousin to see me at my workplace one sunny afternoon and surprised me with another book; The Seymour Family which are my paternal grandfather's ancestors. What a treasure both of these books are to me! They both are fascinating, with names, dates (facts) as well as many first & 2nd hand stories about life in Pioneer & Early American Times.

I also have the pleasure of working on the family tree project with my sister Karen and she helps me with the research and is a contributor to the family tree at ancestry.com

Now we are trying to find our ancestors burial sites and get them listed at findagrave and include pictures whenever we can, as well as send requests for photos of gravesites that are sometimes 3000 miles away from our homes.

We are both happy to return the favor whenever possible.

Good luck to all and thanks to all for your hard work and dedication to this web site and your family ancestry research.
