Thanks for your reply. I don't have my laptop at the moment where most of my data is kept but I found some cool postcards of "doc Seylars" place on the summit. I also recall reading about a flood in which the wife and some children didn't survive but I've forgotten if it was him or his brother or another Seylar. tragic. I do a lot of searching on the extended Sailor/Seylar/Saylor lines. collectively they are an interesting bunch. One day I hope to be able to get past some of the spelling issues and connect a few lines in the process. I have census data for my ancestors that has turned up several different spellings who knows if it was the census worker or there was a name change. I encourage you to share some of your own info (or you dads) you are lucky to have any and first hand info is the best. It would be a shame for it to get lost over time. mine are no longer around to ask. I'm convinced my Lancaster ancestor must have been a black sheep of the family or an orphan since I found so little on him. all the kids went different distant places as well.
Do you have any photos of him or additional I sites you might share? Thanks🙂

Hi CML, per your message, I've been looking for my source of info but can't seem to locate all of them. I go to the library to use newspapers.com so that is probably where I got it. Clearly if you google his name you will see multiple references to him for the State Board of Fisheries And ads for his drug store. He also owned a place up on the Summit. Are you related?

I just wanted to let you know that the McNutt family that you have in Beech Grove Cemetery in Glouster, Athens Co., OH are all in the wrong cemetery. It's very confusing, but there is also a Beech Grove Cemetery a few miles away that is in Shawnee, Perry Co., OH. All of the McNutts are buried in the Perry Co. Beech Grove Cemetery, and there are already memorial pages (and pictures of their grave markers) made for them there. Hope that helps!
