I believe some people are reading way too much into Find A Grave rules. Transfers are mandatory by the rules - if you are directly related (to a certain degree).
If you are not related closely, it is not mandatory... BUT - there is not rule stating I can not transfer memorials to someone who desire's a friend or distant relatives memorial.

I do have some memorials that are not connected to my Family research. If you see a memorial that is from your family (or friends), let me know. If the memorial is not part of my family search - I will be happy to transfer it to you regardless of your relationship.
