I have always wanted to know where my ancestor's came from, I asked my grandmother and my greataunt where their ancestor's came from and my greataunt told me the the Ruddick's or Ruddocke's came from Northern Ireland and even Southern Scotland, but she was not sure. My third great grandfather he was born in Chestnut Creek, Grayson County, Virginia and died in Newfarmington, Jackson County, Indiana. He was buried in the Farmington Cemetery across the road from where he and his wife lived. The Family's that I am related to are the Long's, Copple's, Ruddick's and Kirkpatrick's with a host of other name's that came in the form of marriage and one Friend so far.
WALTER HARRISON RUDDICK Claude, wld you pls move his memorial that you have placed in the Anlauf Cem. in Douglas Co., Oregon to the Comstock Cem. in the same county. They are one & the same. I'm going to be contacting Findagrave administrators to add an "aka Anlauf Cem" on the Comstock Cem. name banner & then delete "Anlauf Cem". In order for Anlauf Cem to be deleted, Walter's memorial needs to be moved to the correct cem. Comstock Cem aka Anlauf Cem is on an Oregon Historical Cem. listing. Thank you.
Children older than parents I think there must be duplicate entries. See GRid=131892921. I think you have the parents entered twice, and the wife has the wrong death date, it is the same as the husband. That is possible, but not likely. I will be looking into this as well, but perhaps you could resolve the "children", since they are born before the parents. I think the father and son are duplicates and perhaps the mother and daughter are duplicates.
Salem Cemetery - Giles Co. I was at the site yesterday. There is only a field net to the road - but on top of the hill in the distance - there looks to be stones. It is on private property. If you go online to southernmiddletennesseecemeteries.com and go to Salem - you will see that John Alfred Parker is listed - BUT WITH NO MARKER.
Michael Keppel/Kopple he is my greatx7 grandfather. I am wondering where you got the death date. According to what I know, Michael was taken captive by the Shawnee indians at the Battle of Bushy Run. Colonel Bouquet went to Ohio to return the captives. On Nov 15, 1764, the captives left the Forks of the Muskingum, and arrived back at Fort Pitt on Nov 30, 1764, where there is a record of one 'Michael Cobble' being issued a shirt, a pair of leggings and a blanket. Mariah Estelle Cordell I am researching my great-grandfather Albert Perry Elliott's second wife, Mariah Estelle Cordell. They were married Christmas 1919. He died in 1928. The last record I've been able to find Mariah Estelle in is the 1920 census. I wanted to find out more about and what happened to Mariah. I know that she had been married prior to this marriage.
