I became involved with family history when my mother broke down and cried because she didn't know where her mother was buried. My grandmother died when my mom was only 3 years old. I then set out to find my grandmother's burial place along with many other family members that mother had no idea where their graves were. Mother knew hardly anything about her mother's side of the family. All I knew from mother's details was we came from a long line of coal miners and moonshiners. Now after 20 years of research my tree is still growing and being refined. I have found out much more about mother's side of the family, but I hold a deep despair in my heart because I will never know my father's family history. My father lived under a false name and never revealed to my mother who he really was. I know how it feels to just have a little morsel of hope in finding out about who you are. I am here to help give someone some hope.
