Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a New Zealand Morey Researcher For thirty three years, I have been doing a one name study for the surname Morey of 238 spellings. Morey is a Saxon Shore name mainly Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset, and Devon. The main Morey Clan in North America is known as KLN RI Roger. The family was from Drimpton, Dorset, England arriving in New England in 1628 on the Abigail from Weymouth and landing at Naumkeag. 60% of American Moreys are KLN RI Roger and 30% are KLN RI George. My Moreys were from Havant, Hampshire, England and arrived in Auckland in 1864

Moreys in Hancock Cemetery
I am working on photographing all the markers in Hancock Cemetery in Waushara County, WI. I've added many photos so far to the MOREY memorials with more to come. I saw the virtual flowers you left and thought you might be interested in taking a look.

Thank you, Chris, for letting us all know that this fine man passed away. I am indeed saddened to hear this. And of course, as any member of this site probably would, I searched for a memorial page so I could leave a virtual flower for him here. It would feel only right. Alas, I found no memorial. Are there any close relatives or friends of his here who'd be willing to create one? Many of his friends and acquaintances here would appreciate it. <3 Thank you!

Geoffrey LLoyyd Williams (13 May 1946 - 27 March 2014)
For those of you who knew Geoffrey and who benefited from his wise advice and tireless efforts to research and inform us all on the global movements of the Morey family, I know you will be saddened to learn that he died yesterday at his home in Whiritoa Beach, New Zealand. Words cannot express how much he will be missed by those of us who worked closely with him over the years, though few of us ever met him in person. His wit and humour, as well as his seemingly boundless energy in ferreting out every fragment of information on the Morey clan, are legend and he will never, and can never, be replaced in the role that he played in our common efforts to understand our family history.

Please take a moment to pause and reflect on his many contributions and his selfless work to assist us in all in of our endeavours.
