I have been doing genealogy for my family for almost 4 years and have acquired quite a collection on my family and the majority of the families that tie into many of the lines. I am a full time college student who enjoys the research and family connections I have done and made on my quest.

RE: William Reeser
Hi Troy,
I'm wondering which William Reeser you are wondering about? One of them (William B. Reeser) is my 2nd great grandfather. If I remember correctly there are others named William I'm related to. I do have a lot of research on the family.
Hope to hear from you again

RE: John Thompson in Wayne County, Ohio
OK Troy, thanks, I've got it now. Looks like my John and James Thompson tree stops at about Maria Reaser and Peter Foust. Kathleen Andersen, the Reaser family authority, stops 2 generations past that point. I found several of your postings for Maria and family on That makes you the living authority on that branch !!! Congratulations.

If you ever have any questions feel free to write. A gal named Judy Cassidy researched an entire 452 page book on John Thompson's wife Hiley Dorland. She did it for the New York Genealogy Society along with Barbara Barth. I have multiple references to it posted in the gallery of Hiley Dorland in our tree. It was titled "The Dorland Enigma Solved".

RE: John Thompson in Wayne County, Ohio
Dear Troy, Let me clarify/detail my last message; John and Hiley (Dorland) Thompson had a daughter named Sarah Thompson born 1808. Sarah Thompson, as you mentioned, marries a fellow named Daniel Reaser. They chill in and around Defiance County, Ohio.

Daniel Reaser and Sarah (Thompson)Reaser then have a daughter named Eleanor Reaser (born 1838). That daughter, Granddaughter of John Thompson, Eleanor Reaser marries a guy named William Myers (born 1840). It was that marriage, Eleanor Reaser to William Myers, that I was guessing gave you your last name of Myers. I was looking 2 generations down from John and Hiley Thompson in search of the Myers connection. I was intentionally skipping over Sarah Thompson and Daniel Reaser in search of the Myers name. All part of the same line.

Way Cool Troy! I'm guessing your link is through William Myers (1840) and his wife Eleanor Reaser (1838). If that's the case then you're gonna find a ton of stuff on that line because of a gal I know who was doing heavy duty research of that family. Her name is Kathleen Reaser Anderson. She has a Reaser Family Tree at and her handle there is Kathleen Anderson. It shows that she is still active online having checked into her account just 4 days ago. Her Daniel Reaser married "our" Sarah Thompson, John Thompson's daughter.

Lot's of cool history in the John Thompson line and even more looking backwards through his wife Hiley Dorland. Original Dutch settlers of New York City. One of their Dutch homes was even disassembled, refurbished and put on permanent display in the Brooklyn Museum.

Emily Romanus Mavis
Hi Troy
I have sent an edit for Emily's birth and death dates as given in her obituary and Michigan death record.

I will also be sending edits to link family members. Once these links are completed you will be able to follow her line back to David Henry and Catherine Moore. David and Catherine were my 3rd great maternal grandparents on my mother's side.

I will email the obit and death information to you for your records.

Louis Noirot.
I would be happy to link him to his parents. I just need the memorial numbers first. Please resubmit. Thanks.

Charles David Fogle
Hello Troy, I can't find were Charles is buried though his wife Sylvia Crawford is in Fairview Cemetery, Harrison Ohio. They were residing in Marion County Ohio on 1920 census. Most family trees have his father as John William Fogle and mother Lydianne Elizabeth Roberts though I don't know where they are buried. Might you know about Charles?

RE: Martha Dellenback
I believe, sir, that we have corresponded only once before about this matter. If you would check the photographs on the Auburn Mausoleum site, you would see that I was the the one that took the majority of them. I live in this community. If I am incorrect about the particular matter of the Crowl name, then I stand corrected. Ancestry did buy Find A Grave, but that does not change the rules or its primary purpose. It is not a genealogy site. It is, though, a genealogy tool. And, yes, I realize that these individuals were your 3X great grandparents. It still does not change the fact of how their surname is spelled on their crypts. Wishing you a blessed day!
