Interested in the air battle over White Carpathian mountains on August 29, 1944. 8 B-17Gs (2nd BG) and 1 B-24H (454 BG)were shot down that day. 41 US airmen were KIA and 28 of them buried in the mass grave at the cemetery in my born town, Slavicin, Czech Republic.
