Oliver Powell and Elizabeth Jane McElroy
My mother is Inez Corbin Miller (1920-2012). Her father (my grandfather) is Willard Corbin (1893-1959). His parents are Samuel Morgan Corbin (1857-1943) and Nancy Ann "Nannie" Powell (1867-1924). Nancy Ann Corbin's parents are Oliver and Elizabeth Jane McElroy Powell.

I'm working on my family's history and am so happy to find the information you posted about Oliver and Elizabeth Jane Powell Corbin. Thank you for making this valuable information public.

I'm very interested in what you might find regarding Elizabeth Jane's death in Belton, Bell Co., Texas. Did she go there because she had family there? This is interesting because my grandfather Willard Corbin was born in Texarkana, TX and one of his brother's, Landy Owen "Odie" Corbin was born in Belton, TX. Mother told me her grandparents (Samuel M. Corbin and Nannie Powell Corbin) went to Texas to work on the railroad and that her dad (Willard Corbin) and his brother was born while they were there. Do you know anything about this part of the family history?

Thanks again,
Naomi

Hi, Cousin! :)
I just saw the flower you left on Delila Blair Womack's memorial. She was the mother of my great-great-grandfather, William Womack, whose daughter, Martha Jane, married William Sullivan and they had my paternal grandfather, Cassius Sullivan.

Delila's brother, Thomas Leftridge Blair, married Mary "Polly" Jennings, and their daughter Catherine Blair married John L. Brockman and they had Rutha Belle Brockman who married John Austin Bryant and they had my maternal grandmother Viola Mae Bryant.

So anyway, any descendant of Thomas and Nancy Day Blair is a relative of mine. So I just wanted to say hi!

:)
