RE: Possible 3rd marriage?
As I said last fall, I am related to Robert's 1st wife--Rebecca Ogle.

It sounds like you are saying that his second wife Maude Bean was your great grandmother. If you have her burial information either you or I can make the link on FindAGrave.

If you want his memorial transferred to you, I can do that too; although it doesn't sound like either of us is actually related to Robert.

RE: Brief marriage of R. H. Peters
I am not directly related to Mr. Peters--I am related to his first wife Rebecca Ogle.

I have not researched my Peters very much either. I would question whether or not the marriage records you found are for a different R. H. Peters.

Robert's obituary states that he married Maude Bean in 1928. They were still married according to the 1930 Census. The Iowa 1925 Census states that Robert was a widower as of 1 Jan 1925.

It does still allow the possibility of him being re-married in 1925. I would expect that such a marriage would have occurred in or around Elgin, Fayette county, Iowa.

Thank you for your note of encouragement. I enjoy doing it.

I would be pleased if you would read my Bio and visit my parents' memorials by clicking on their links. [If you haven't already.]
