I am a retired history teacher and president of the Oakwood Cemetery Association. I am also a member of the Friends of Nunda Cemeteries. I am happy to help researchers with photos or other information relating to Oakwood and our other cemeteries.|
The Oakwood Cemetery Association encourages family members and researchers to add Oakwood's gravestones to Find A Grave. We also welcome all the volunteers who fulfill photo requests for our cemetery using the Find A Grave procedures. What a great surprise to get photos this morning. Eli and Sarah Downs are my 4th great grandparents and I am so pleased to receive these photos of their markers. This cemetery is so far away from where I live I doubt I will ever be able to visit, but thanks to you I am able to see the location where they rest. Thank you again.

Hi Tom, you have mistakenly placed Adelbert Tallman Sr.'s picture on Adelbert Tallman Jr's memorial. Please check and remove. I don't know if you have the correct picture to put in it's place. Thank you for all you do to help us out of the area.

Tom- Appreciate the turnaround on the picture of George Osgoodby's tombstone. Can I ask a quick question? On the top of the stone (which is built like a "house") on one side of the "roof" is a Masonic symbol. Do the other three sides and/or top have similar symbols or just the one side? I'd be interested to know if they did. Again, appreciate your time and if you're ever in the Nunda area again perhaps you could check that? Pol
