|My husband and I grew up in Ozark County and love learning the history of our area. Visiting the area cemeteries and noting the inscriptions and verses is a very interesting way to spend the afternoon. My parents used to do this when I was young, and I enjoyed hearing them talk about people they had known in the past. |
Hopefully we can help someone else learn more about their families history.

Thanks you for headstone photo of Henry Sanders!
I really appreciate your spirit of volunteerism!
Could you please post the same photo on Rhoda E. Sanders memorial? Her number is 32702836. She and Henry are in the Gainesville Cemetery.
Thank you every so much!

Alta, could you please remove the two (duplicate) pictures you have on Nola's memorial #22037323. I have added new pictures and would like to also add the Death Cert. But can't because of the limit by Find A Grave on each memorial. Would appreciate it, Thanks,

Myself and my family live in Whitefish, Mt.
the conection I am not sure of other than my father was born in Halfway, Missouri. and raised there a while and then moved to Texas some where? His father and mother were Oliver R. Griffith and Ila T. Wolf. both from Halfway...
If you know anything more it would be nice to know. He always said he was related to the Griffith's from Halfway it would be nice to know if you all were related some how also I know his sister lives in a house left to her by there parents somewhere near Halfway

I appreciate very much your posting a photograph of Josephine's grave. She moved away from her Tennesssee roots, so it is very nice to be able to see her final resting place. Thank you!

O. K. That sounds good. When will your ticks leave so that I can send you the info or should I say what month? I am in California.
Do you live near or around Bakersfield Cemetery? My great grandmother is buried there with four children. I understand that her headstone might not be readable. Just the same I would like a photo of it. It is in the old section number 3. Can you help.

Back in November you left the following note on my Photo Request site for Mary Taylor, #11623519. I've contacted someone and am pursuing the possibility of getting access to the Piland-Norris Cemetery in Ozark County. Is there any chance you might be in the area again one of these days? If so, I hope to try again whenever I hear from my contact. Either way, thank you so much for your efforts.

General problem: This burial is on private property or is otherwise inaccessible
Details: The gate with the sign leading to this cemetery was locked with two padlocks, so I think we were not welcome! Sorry."
