Bio and Links
Bio Photo Calvin & I enjoy going to and taking cemetery pictures. We started doing this when we began researching our family trees. Calvin's family names are Adams, Butlers, Daniels, Brewer from the Middle TN & Upper Alabama. My family names are Whittemore (my father's name), Roberts, Johns, Morton, Manier mostly from the Rutherford, Wilson & Sumner Co., TN area. We're glad to help find your families headstones whenever the weather & health permits.

If you have a photo request from Polk Memorial Gardens in Maury Co., TN we'd like to ask that you call the cemetery & ask them for the section & plot number. There are nearly 10,000 persons buried there & with flat headstones it's nearly impossible to find individuals.

INFORMATION ON Martha Angeline Adams
Hello there. My name is Rich Ayers. I am trying to track down some information on my GG Grandfather Ransom Ayers. He was married to Martha Adams as his second wife. She was the daughter of William James Adams and Elvira Sweeney Adams.

So far he has been pretty elusive. I know that he and Martha were married in 1894 and he doesnt show up on the 1910 census. I know this may be a long shot, in hoping you may have any info on him since he was married to Martha, but I have run out of other options (LOL).

Thanks for your time and I am hoping you will have some keys to unlock where Ransom took off to and when.

Warm Regards
Rich Ayers

Randall Parker Cemetery in Davidson Co.
Hello Marilyn, I see you have taken Pictures of the Randall Parker Cemetery. I went looking for it today and had no luck finding it. I was looking at the intersection of Old Hickory Blvd. and HY 12. I found a book at the state archives that gave that location. What is the location of this cemetery? Thanks, Amatahon

Hello Marilyn,

I am looking at your memorial page for this man and you have in his bio that he was married to Cenie Reaves in 1899 and she died before 1910. How do you know that? I am looking for her grave and have been unsuccessful. I have a clue from a Reeves Family genealogy that says, "She was carried by train from Schubert to Riverside. From there she was carried by wagon to the Walnut Grove Baptist Church at the mouth of 48 Creek. She was buried in the Walnut Grove Cemetery beside her son Willie." Do you know specifically where this could be? There are 23 churches named Walnut Grove in Tennessee! (I am in Wash State so I do not know Tennessee.)
Thanks for any help.

Hey Marilyn, I just found this obit and the one for his mother in two boxes of newspapers that I got from my aunt who helped clean out a house in Columbia. My question to you is about the baby. I don't find a listing anywhere for the 22 mos. old baby that was buried with him. I was wondering if you would either create a listing for the baby or add something to the dad's listing for the child. I just hate to not see any mention of him. What do you think?

Barnes Cemetery
Barnes Cemetery "located in Bells Bend off of Old Hickory Blvd". I was wondering if you created the entry for this cemetery since you added the picture. I have several death certificates that name a cemetery Cleese/ Cleasy/ Cleesey Ferry Burial Ground and Bells Bend Cemetery. I was finally contacted by a distant cousin who told me that cemetery Barnes on Bells Bend is the same. He had these same co-ordinates and had siblings that had been to this cemetery to clean up the area of their unmarked graves. So I have added these people to the cemetery but I was wondering about including the other names in the description. I started to contact Findagrave to list these names as cemeteries and say "see" Barnes but decided I would ask your thoughts first. Thank-you for the work you have done.

RE: Mattox
Hi Marilyn, I guess back in the forties and fifties the old timers called it Harmony and Mattox. In recent years its went by Mattox because it started as Mattox Cemetery so Mattox is the correct name.

Thanks for the transfer, Marilyn.

I was out looking for the Old Tittle Cemetery to stomp around. I was at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery - my dad has been gone since 8/22/1982.

James Young Smith was there. He is the son of Banford Smith, my dad's uncle. It's always good to see him. He was born in 1926.

Made it over to Ivy Bluff looking for Sarah A. Lance Tittle's parents, Howard and Sarah Miller Lance.

Hi, Marilyn,

Here I'm doing what I don't like other people doing - collecting surnames.

If you could transfer Charlie Oscar to me, I'd appreciate it. I don't know why he didn't live that long a life.

His mom, Sarah A. Lance, born to William and Sarah Miller Lance probably had no idea Samuel C. Tittle, Sr. was taking off to Okla. with his new wife. I was told recently she was a neighbor....Lorenzo raised his son's children.
