Thankful for Find a Grave as I feel it brings us closer to those we know who have passed on. I hope I can be of help to anyone who might be looking for a loved one.|
Have lived in all four time zones, but New Mexico will always be home.

You're very welcome; and we are very privileged whenever we can walk among heroes and their families in Santa Fe National!

Close but no gold ring yet. I went back to where I thought I saw him today and no luck.I will continue until I find him.
|Sarah Lane||Found James Barksdale|
On an evening walk around the perimeter of Royal Palm cemetery this evening I saw a marker for James Barksdale (pretty sure that was the name)and lamented to my husband that I didn't think he was on my list. So pleased that I can photograph James tomorrow, weather permitting. Will keep you posted.
Teamwork, especially family, is such a perfect way to keep nudging each other, do research work, and promote correctness on FindAGrave. I have a cousin and some in-laws who have always encouraged me (or they wouldn't know nearly so ding-danged much about their OWN branches of the family) to bang my head against brick walls...and I have an uncle and third-cousin (who started genealogy by writing snailmail letters about 50 years ago) who were totally vital in learning anything about our Swedes. But some of my grandkids might FOREVER have the conundrum of not knowing ¼ of their blood because one grandparent was adopted by a priest and a nun who got married, but wanted to keep their vows of celibacy and adopted...with all data on real birth certificate being fudged. The only hope I see coming is the 1950 census when it's finally released in another seven years. So I hope you and your sister keep pulling each other along...like that roller-skating game of so long ago when we'd sling the person behind us forward, and then they'd return the favor ~ :°)
