Sir Lancelot's birthday is April 24, 1994 and he passed on October 9, 2012. He was nearly 18 1/2 years old. I am told that is 90 years old by human standards.

I began genealogy in 1992. I remember the year because my only child married and I figured I would be getting grandchildren. It still hasn't happened... I was always interested in my roots but didn't really know where to begin. When I would ask my Father about family history, he always said,"You don't want to get into all that! All you will find are a bunch of old horse thieves!" Well to date, I haven't found any horse thieves but I have found lots of preachers!

The first time I visited a genealogy library and noticed people with note books full of their notes, I was so envious. Now I have file cabinets (regular cabinets too) just crammed full of genealogy notes,copies of documents, etc. But genealogy is a never ending puzzle, at least I can't seem to find an end to it.

Surnames that I am researching: DICKERSON, YOUNG, HENLEY, MARSHALL, HARE, HEAD, TANTON, PARKER, LOGGINS, DRODDY, TESTON, ROBBINS, LAWSON, EASTERLING, FANCHER, FONVILLE, RITTER,GOODWIN, SAMPLE, McWILLIAMS, & a few others... :-)

I have recently rediscovered the Find A Grave website and think it is such a useful tool for people researching their roots.
