Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born & raised in the Perrysburg, Ohio area. I have researched all 8 families of my great-great-grandparents. I took the research back into Germany to the late 1600s. In this country I have traced all 8 families down through their great grandchildren.

Haas family NW, Ohio
Hi Casey,
thanks for all you have posted on the Haas family.
My mother-in-law was H. Irene Haas, b. near Custar, Wood, OH. She died last year. Her parents were Charles
August Henry Haas & Ilah Fern Junkins. I'd like to share info with you if you are comfortable with that. I'm told the family was huge. My gut instinct is that they were all related.
Please feel free to email me or contact me on facebook: Marilyn L. Nichols Trumbull.

Thank You
I can't begin to thank you for all the memorials you have added for our large families. Your records have lessened the burden of my family ancestor search. Thank you and God Bless.

you book?
I have been trying to reach you to find out if you have any more of your books available? I have also heard that you have a new edition coming out soon. Your book is fascinating and full of such rich history. Question, are you Cecil Haas, son of Albert Haas and Mary Gurtzweiler? If so, then my mother knows who you are and she wore one of your sisters communion dresses. Her name is Katharine Hasel Hess, she grew up on Luckey Rd and her grandmother was Barbara Trowbridge from five point road. We know so many people in your book.

Thanks and you can reach me at

List of all burials at St. Mary Mother of Sorrowa
Mr Haas
I am from Perrysburg as well...I have family that was reported to be buried at this cemetery. Do you happen to know where I might find a list of the burials and where their bodies may currently be...I am enjoying reading about the 24 individuals that are on find a grave. Mrs. Antone Missler is a relative. I am related to the George Hoffmann family, George Trowbridge family, Frank Hasel family and the Volands.
Thanks for your response.

Jehu Hockett #35372063
Hi! As I was looing for memorials on family members, I noticed that there are two memorials for Jehu Hockett - one of which is yours. Not sure how to handle duplicates, they're basically the same except one has much less information. Just so you know - the link to the other page is #38882033.

Original Interment Book for St. Rose in Perrysburg
I have recently come across the original records on a website that show the burials beginning in 1863. If the cemetery lost all of its records in a fire, someone had transcribed the book before the fire took place. The very first burial was before the cemetery was actually "founded in 1865" and was a Peter Haas whose interment date was 8/10/1863. Do you have this person in your tree who died a day or two before this date? It doesn't list any other info. but he needs a memorial within the cemetery on Find A Grave. I will upload the record also but if you have any info that would establish a birth and death date, that would be great for his record! Thanks, Pamela
