Thanks for the information. I looked him up on Fold3 and saw that he was indeed "slightly wounded in the mouth" at the battle of Murfreesboro on Dec 31, 1862, and was hospitalized at Atlanta, but was back on active duty in Feb. 1863. Quarterly attendance cards show him present through August 1863. He died at a hospital in Atlanta on Oct 22, 1863. No cause of death is given. I've added this info to his memorial.

I am correct and my picture is John C Colquitt. I am very upset you took my picture off of the Columbia Co Ark Facebook page. If we wanted it posted on Find A Grave we would have done it ourselves. My husband and I will not post pictures on Facebook where you can download them and re-post them anymore. You didn't even give credit to my husband and it was his picture.

Thank you for capturing pictures of the gravestones and burial location... preserving the history of the Veteran's of the Civil War. Awesome!
|Ashley Ratliff||RE: David Walker|
It is David Lewis Walker. It looks like he was born on Dec 9, 1955 and Died Dec 5, 1956. But when I go back out there I will take a closer look at it.

We're good here, it's just sometimes my hands type quicker than my thoughts and I forget things. I'm not sure what you mean by cemetery registry as to his location. I have a very good working relationship with the cemetery office an they provide the locations for me. In turn I'm helping them out with corrections (errors) I find and assist in helping them up date their records. I do have contact information for the cemetery if you wish.
