I am very passionate about genealogy and have spent the last few years researching my own family history.
I also love photography and originally joined the site as a photo volunteer. Unfortunately, not everybody shares this passion and I've been chased out of a few cemeteries for taking photos in privately owned ones ... which apparently is not allowed (who knew?!). In any case, I still try my best to obtain photos upon request. I only add photos that I have personally taken or come from our family stash taken years ago.
From time to time, I do add new memorial pages when I discover there isn't one for a photo I've taken. If any of the memorials I create belong to your family, I would be happy to transfer ownership over to you. Just email me through the site and let me know the names, grave #'s and your F.A.G. number.
RE: Maria Pickworth Wayland I forgot to mention- I didn't realize the Pickworth connection until after I got home. Maria was buried with her parents. I plan to stop by on my way home from work today and get photos of their headstones as well and post them.
RE: Marguerite Lehman You're welcome! Sorry, that was the only resolution. I do not resize the photos for this site. I take hundreds and it would be too time-consuming. When I view them on my computer, they are pretty clear. Is there a problem with them on your end? I also added the photos to William's memorial.
RE: Marguerite Lehman Great! You know, you can always leave a message on my page regarding photos. I don't necessarily have to 'claim' a photo request. I am happy to take them as a favor. Not into the 'numbers' game. I honestly wish the site would not publicly display the numbers. Some people seem a little obsessed by it.
Marguerite Lehman Hi there! Long time no 'see'. I've managed to claim this photo request (which is getting harder to do lately due to the popularity of Find a Grave in this area!). Since this burial just took place recently, there may not be a headstone yet, but I will check it out today and get back to you.
