Bio

I'm originally from Clinton, Iowa, now living in Rockville, Maryland. I research my own family (Mangold, Zimmerman, Brandau, Eggers) and the family of Benjamin Franklin.

My overall links are available through https://linktr.ee/mcmangold

I am of proud my first cousin, the great researcher Joyce Rohde of Manchester, Iowa, who passed in 2022. I have started digitizing her material at The Joyce Rohde Library:
https://bit.ly/JoyceRohdeLibrary

My research on the letters saved by the Zimmerman - Ruof family, which includes letters from Maria Kohli-Ruof, Frederick Wenger and Lizzie DeFrehen, is at
http://bit.ly/RuofLetters

I like Find A Grave's Virtual Cemeteries. I've worked on two related to the Green Mountain Train Wreck of March 1910 in Iowa: one for the people that died in that disaster, another for people directly impacted (like my great-grandmother Maggie Eggers).

Please feel free to browse. I'm happy to correspond - please reach out any time.
