I will transfer any memorial to a relative when asked.

I have been doing genealogy since 1992 and love it.

RE: kent Plotner
I'm going to contact the funeral home, I know the guy who owns it and see if he may have any info. If that fails I'll try the VFW post commander. Let you know if any things materialize.

Claire, you and me also.
Did you know Kent or his companion, I wonder if anyone has requested a veteran headstone.

Please click on the photo to enlarge it and reveal the caption, which contains a transcription of the text on the stone--not all of which is visible in the photo due to the grass. It gives the date of death and the age of 89 years.

I have found a family tree on Ancestry that gives his birthdate as February 15 1844. He died Feb 2 1933. The stone says his age was 89--he would have been just 13 days short of 89 on Feb 2 1933. I'm not sure why he is buried in the Allisson lot. His wife, Mary Virginia Lane Quidort, is, as you now know, across the Avenue in the QUIDORT/CHAMBETTAZ mausoleum. Susan Quidort Chambettaz was their daughter.

RE: Mary Quidort
Mary Virginia Quidort IS BURIED THERE. Please click on the photo and read the caption. It contains a list of people buried in that lot. The fact that there is no legible inscription does not mean that she is not there. Cemetery records place her in that lot.

RE: Alta Turner
Thanks for the correction. I had to thunk too much for this one. I've corrected the caption on the photo to say that Alice was Henry's sister. I'll take another look to make sure, but I didn't see a stone for Alta either on the back of this one or nearby. I've checked the whole cemetery several times for her and haven't found Alta in any other section.
