Johanna M. Bong- Erickson
Hello, I received your EMail and came back and looked at Johanna's records..on Find-A-Grave.
Johanna and Erick had six children
1.Margareta Maria Erickson 1898-1991 (?death)
Santa Barbara, California
my Grandmother
2. Elizabeth Marie Erickson
3. Sam Erickson
4. Thor Allen Erickson
5. Frederick Folke Erickson
6. Sig Erick Erickson
The names shorten from their birthname.
My grandmother: Margareta the only child born in
Johanna and Erick left Sweden and came to the U.S. several times...The last trip Johanna made with children as Erick was already here.
They settled in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Some of the children stayed in Minnesota and two, I know left Minnesota. Johanna became very ill and died of pnuemonia ?
I have researched this family for yearS and finally found them... with the help of computers and Internet.
There is a good family line website page and then I found cousins on good olde: Facebook.
As far as I know, Johanna is the only family member that has a shared space: crypt. I found family and family is insistant she stay where she is. I have phone and talked with staff at the cemetary and Johanna is in a shared space.
I may even match the children to Johanna on Find-A-Grave.. . OR If you are willing I can send you the children's ID# Find-A-Grave and you can add it to Johanna.
Please share whatever information you may have, you may have something I don't.

Leo Mark Reichel
Leo was born 18 Jun 1891 in Delano, Wright, MN to Thomas Reichel (# 96449259) & Julia Agnes Langosch. He died 11 Jul 1968 in Minneapolis.

The Havre Plaindealer, Havre, Montana, December 3, 1910, p. 2, c. 1
Leo Reichel, of Minneapolis, was in Havre Tuesday on his way to Cut Bank to investigate what is supposed to be the death of his brother Thomas who was reported to have been killed in a rear end collision west of Cut Bank on Nov. 5th. According to the information Leo Reichel had received previous to his arrival in Havre, his brother, who was a Great Northern Fireman, was off duty and was riding west from Cut Bank in a caboose of a Great Northern freight when the slow going freight was overtaken by a passenger train and the caboose telescoped by the passenger locomotive. The crew of the freight train escaped injury but one solitary passenger was killed beyond recognition by the fire that resulted. Thomas Reichel has not been seen or heard from since the accident and every indication points to the fact that he was the passenger who met death in the accident.

Would you please update this information on his memorial and link him to his father?

Thank you for your help.

Link daughter's site to her grandpa's?
Hello Steve, I just came across the Find A Grave site, and after a bit of perusing, I was very surprised to find my daughter's grave listed and her headstone pictured (Allison N Whitney, MN, Find A Grave Memorial# 125593299). Thank you for this.
Is it possible to link her to her grandfather, Charles E. Whitney, Ft Snelling, MN. DOB July 18, 1920 (Find A Grave Memorial# 38680071)
Thank you
~Paula Haller

Fred M. Nelson - brothers
Fred's brothers were
Anders (Andrew) Nelson, who went back to Sweden, so the story goes.
Enoch F. Nelson, who is buried in Alexandria, Minnesota, Kinkead Cemetery.
Gust or Gustav Nelson, who died in California.

I have a photo of the four brothers I will post on Fred's findagrave page.

RE: Fred M. Nelson - 122265971
I was mistaken about the Illinois death for Fred M. Nelson. I have sent a correction to you. He died in Hennepin County, Minnesota.

Jan and Joyce Woll edits
Steve, So happy to work with you on these memorials. Jan's father was the celebrated Norwegian/American tenor, Carsten Thorvald Woll (my 1st cousin 2x removed). I am very proud of my Woll relatives and have thoroughly enjoyed researching their lives. Jeri Stewart
