It took over 5 years to piece together my Dad's RODGERS/ROGERS family who relocated from the Edgefield District of South Carolina to Columbus,Muscogee County,Georgia & then to Newburg (Haleyville) Franklin County , Alabama. It all began with only a last name ~ so never give up ~ it is now completed as far back to 7 generations with a brick wall before 1839.

I had used Find A Grave for several years as I was researching my family tree on Ancestry. A very gracious FAG member helped me to understand that each Memorial could be corrected and a biography could be added. Previously I did not know I could add transcriptions and have my own profile.

I think it quite wonderful that photographs would be taken and data entered by those dedicated to preserving our loved ones Perhaps generations later a family member might one day find a Memorial and add bio and details. What an awesome group of people FAG is.

I am so pleased to have been able to transcript and add the records to FAG a cemetery near my chilldhood home . I have researched the graves and connected all the graves in this very small country cemetery. This gave me great pleasure to do so. Hopefully one day it will be transferred to a family member of those buried there.

Also to have added an entry for my Mom who choose cremation over a traditional burial.

My family tree: RODGERS / ROGERS ~ CASH ~ BUTLER ~ ARNOLD ~ HILL ~ PECK ~ SOUTHERN ~ HARRIS ~

My FAG Public Name is the name of my grandmother Lillie Lewellyn Arnold Cash ~ whom I adored. My "real name" is Linda Rogers Peck & I grew up in Phil Campbell, Franklin County, Alabama ~ my father , my sister & my son still live there.

I have 3 amazing children Mark~ Leah & Anna & 5 wonderfully healthy & so smart grandchildren: Katelyn Alivia ~ Lillie Anne ~ Braxton Ryan , Luke Edward & Lila Ashley .

It's an amazing journey discovering ones roots ~ ones family.

My goal since January 2014 is to link as many of my family as I can find. My branches are long on my Ancestry Tree with over 17,000 people. I am currently correcting and documenting my Family Tree. I have met so many cousins and wonderful searchers.
Documenting & adding correct information has become my quest & I find it very very rewarding.

Genealogy starts as an infactuation that has become my addiction. ~ an addiction that at this time I am not seeking a cure for.

Happy Hunting & feel free to use any photos or info ~~ please just cite me as your source ~~
