I started doing genealogy on my Myers Family in 2000 and have worked on all my other lines and have been an addict since. There is no feeling greater than finding information, more family and being able to share and help other people.|
I just want to add that all the people on findagrave are the most awesome people to work with. God bless you all.

|L Moses||Robert G & Rebecca Alice Carter|
I am doing research on a Robert G. Carter who was originally born in Calhoun Co, IL and came across you memorial 83890637 for Robert G. in Chetopa, KS. Looking at the Civil War headstone I was able to find the original application with the Veteran's Admin. Your Robert G. died February 1, 1934 per the date of death on the headstone application. The application was made by a Mrs. Alice G. Carter who I believe is Robert's wife, maybe daughter, but there has to be a family relationship to your memorial 83890347 for Rebecca Alice Goodspeed Carter.
I have a copy of the application I can attach to an email if you want it.
Do you have any other information on Mr. Carter? I am hoping that he is my guy, born in Calhoun about 1847 to John and Juliet Carter.

I was in Chatopa last spring looking for the Dippreys and I made the comment to the lady in City Hall that I noticed a listing in the gazebo that didn't not know and I want to say this is the name. Does Chatopa have more than one cemetery and if they do, is it the same as the cemetery that Milton Dipprey is in? If you are not a family member of G E Dippery I would like to have this memorial to manage.

Thank you for the great pictures of Ida
& William Geraty & Stephen Haraughty's memorials in Oak Hill Cemetery, Chetopa. Would you mind if we used it in our family tree in ancestry with credit given to you? Thanks again, we will pass the favor on.

Mickey was married to Bennie Edmondson, but he was buried in another cemetery, area where he grew up.
Not sure why, and they lived in Melrose, KS.
My family has known them both for YEARS, in fact my uncle rodeoed with Bennie when they were young guys, and Bennie's parents had restaurant in the BIG town of Melrose.
So thought maybe you could link them.
Thank you, Betty
