Bio

I was born on 18 September 1936 in Torrington, Litchfield County, Connecticut. I spent 4 years at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts followed by 4 years at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland graduating with the class of 1959. My work career was as an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer in many varying process industries such as mining, pulp and paper, power plants, food plants, plastics, etc. I retired in 2008 after about 4 years in the water and waste water industries doing programming, instrumentation calibration and plant commissioning. My family and I spent from 1971-1979 in Rhodesia and South Africa. I presently, and I expect permanently, live in Holladay, Utah on the outskirts of Salt Lake City. I have worked in Alaska, Russia, Germany, Canada, South Africa, Rhodesia and in many areas of the United States. I have four daughters, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. My wife, Judy, and I have been married 53+ years. I am an avid genelogist having been involved in that avocation since 1968.
