Bio

I am a family history researcher. I have really appreciated all the information I have found on Find A Grave and consider it a great site and I am so grateful to all the people who post information and photos.

I do have a problem with people who refuse to transfer memorials of people to whom they are not related to someone who is related. I will never do that. Generally I only put up memorials for people to whom I am related, even if only as an in-law, and I will always transfer to someone more closely related.

If I am in a cemetery and end up with photos of graves of unrelated people, I may create a memorial, but will gladly transfer it to someone who is related or wants to maintain that memorial.

Because of the confusion of having three cemeteries named "Bethel Cemetery" in Athens Co., OH, and some burials that belong in one of the Bethels being listed in Canaanville Cemetery, Athens Co., OH, I have made memorials to people I am not related to in order to try to straighten out who is where. Again, I will gladly take them down or transfer them if requested.

Please note:

Bethel Cemetery (sign says), known as Bethel Ridge Cemetery,Gloucester, OH 45732, in York Twp., Athens Co., OH.

Bethel Cemetery, Ames Twp., Athens Co., OH, just west of the junction of Pete Smith Rd. and Dutch Creek Rd., a little after crossing the creek, on the right. Land donated by Stalder family, part of the original Swiss Colony of Athens Co., OH; land was part of their farm.

Bethel Cemetery, Coolville, OH 45723, Troy Twp., Athens Co., OH. Sign says "Right of Way Entrance Only."

Canaanville Cemetery, next to Canaanville United Methodist Church, 15650 Mcafee Rd. (Twp. Rd. 605), Athens, OH 45701.
