My birth name is Gloria Jean Woods, and I was born in Jacksonville, Florida on Aug. 27, 1940. My sisters, fraternal twins, completed our family three years later.

Our parents, Lonzy H. and Thelma G. Saunders Woods came from north Florida farm families, natives for several generations. All are deceased
except for a maternal aunt.

Since my retirement from a state job four years ago I have become interested in our family history, and find this site most helpful and informative.
