Find A Grave was very useful to me in my past family research, it may be time to give back to this site. Find A Grave is where we find and add our memorials to our loved ones. It's wonderful to have this place where we are able to see the headstone, maybe their picture, and add their life story, and link them to their parents, spouse and children. It broke my heart to find someone dear to me here, after visiting the grave for such a long time and running out of conversation with the headstone, so began the taking of pictures of the markers next to the grave. If you stand at the grave, name all the children on the stone, and tell them what the grandchildren have been up to lately, you get to the sad part of the grandchildren they never got to know. Should our grandchildren ever want to know where they came from this may be one place to look in the future. If there is a memorial added and it is your friend or relative my loved ones are probably near by. It is surprising how many contact me about the names that have been added with more links and information. If you show interest in a name there will be more research done, so look again at it later. My renewed interest is in family history and plan to enter information for family and friends in the southwestern Idaho area. Will try to help you with requests, have had good luck finding local obituaries on microfilm.|

Thank you. I'm interested in knowing if there is anything to that name. I'm in contact with Ruth's son and can ask him if necessary, but would rather wait to see if you have anything to add.

Regarding Ruth Stern's maiden name, I know this family and her maiden name was Davidson, not Hitchcock. Do you know where this came from?
|David Metcalf||Alonzo Clem Campbell|
Thanks for the information on Alonzo Clem Campbell's obituary.
Please state your transfer guidelines on transferring memorials on your bio page.
That information is used to help me decide whether to send any memorial edit updates to a memorial manager.
I believe there is no reason except hoarding for a non-relative to keep a grandparent memorial who falls outside that within 4 generation guideline. Thank you.
If a memorial manager does not transfer a grandparent - whether 1st, 2nd or 7th 8th grandparent to today's current grandchild, I refuse to send edit updates. A grandparent is forever - not just within Find A Grave within 4 generation guidelines.

Thank you so much for linking all of Frank Stimpson's family members to his memorial! And for fixing his grandson's name in the obituary.

I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of Amy Alvord Hadley in Riverside Cemetery (Memorial# 71082552).
I would like to add this gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of Idaho Obituaries, where her obituary will be included. You can see the current collection at http://www.alfordassociation.org/OBITS/IDOBIT.htm.
May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, I will add this to the photo caption:
Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—www.findagrave.com
Permission granted by the photographer, Dan Fowler
I'd also like to include one of the photos you posted to Amy's memorial. Are you the owner?
And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

I so appreciate you are there for find a grave. I paid for 14 months for a researcher to help with the Preddice Family in England. Not that anyone cares but me. I can carry the family back, thanks to church records to 1625. My problem is those who came to the USA. No one here cares.
I appreciate you do care!!
