It is believed but not proven that our ancestor arrived in 1666 through the Port of Maryland. This person was named John Morecraft and was both a medical doctor and an attorney at law. He also served in the governing body for the area of Maryland. He arrived in this land about 1638 through the Port of Virginia at JamesTown. He later travelled by ship to St. Marys, MD in 1666.
