RE: The Exums This is Captain James T. Exum, son of Kinchen Drake Exum and Elizabeth Allen, in Tennessee. He was born 1842 and died 1894. I have further information on him on my ancestry.com family tree "Dwight Jeffrey Manners."
Exum Family Cemetery I see you have left a request for a photo of the graves at the Exum family cemetery in Dekalb County Tennessee. I have a cousin who lives about an hour's drive from there. He is also a professional photographer. I have informed him about the cemetery and he will try to take some photos of the cemetery and the gravestones. In the meantime I have uploaded a photo of James T. Exum.
I have also asked him to collect as much information as possible about the others buried there.
My own connection to the Exums is that my paternal great grandmother, James T. Exum's younger sister, was Amanda Catherine Exum.
I would gladly do all this myself, but I live in Europe.
Merle M. Beattie Hello. My name is Pam and I'm doing research on Merle M. Beattie for my social studies class. I saw that you took pictures of the Beattie head stones. I was wondering if you might be one of her relatives and if I could interview you or if you can point me into the right direction? My email is my username. Thanks. Pam

RE: Strong family Hi Kristina, Unfortunatley I don't have much information on the Strong family. Fountain Strong is my husband's GG Grandfather. His daughter, Arminta Strong married into the family. Much of what I've found was on census records. They indicated Fountain's parents came to TN from Ireland . . . then ended up in MO. We don't live in MO and have not visited the Thomas Cemetery. Would love to though. I have Fountain with 7 children: Arminta [the oldest]; Mary Elizabeth; John; Josiah; Sarah; Amanda; and Laura. Hope this helps with your search.
