Lucinda Streeter Findley
Hello, I got your message asking for transfer. I would be happy to do so.
I wanted to share my connection
Lucinda's half brother "Bat" Sebastian Streeter (son of Hannah & Sebastian) was married Rhuey Dunkin who is the sister to my great great grandfather Hough Dunkin.
Lucinda Streeter Findley's daughter Helen married Ott Dunkin (Rhuey's brother).
So half Streeter siblings married Dunkin siblings! :)

Just had to share the connection!

We need to write privately. We differ on the death date of William Henry McFall. Do you have a tree on line somewhere?

RE: Ancestry
My mother's mother's maiden name was Winn. Her father was Walter Scott Winn the son of Joshua N. Winn and his second wife Ellen Poston.

Joshua's father was Phillip Byrd Winn who was the son of Jesse D. Winn, Sr. and his first wife, Catherine Johnston.

So: me > Mother: Margaret P. Topley (Margaret Winn Parker) > Martha Winn Parker (Martha Gray Winn) >
Walter Scott Winn > Joshua N. Winn > Phillip Byrd Winn > Jesse D. Winn, Sr.

Hope this answers your question.

RE: Ancestry
Hello,

I just started reviewing your last response.
I do have all of the names of the children of Jesse, Sr., Jesse, Jr. and two of the known children of Ben S.'s first marriage. As to the second marriage in Texas, there isn't much to go on. More research required.

I have spent the last two days entering The Winn Memoirs into the Winn Family Tree on my Sister's Ancestry.com account. I'm not sure if it is visible to the public yet. I do not have all of it in as I am concentrating on the Winn lineage 1st and then I will populate the branches started by the Winn daughters marrying into other families.
I will let you know when it is available or when I lose my mind.
I am still waiting for my son to produce the .pdf. Sorry.

Where did Benjamin and Narcissa live? Any clue might help.

Normally I would be happy to transfer a memorial to a family member however Barbara is also in my ancestral line. Her son George had a daughter named Emily who had a daughter named Jenny who had a daughter named Hazel.. who was my grandmother. How are you related? I would love to talk to you about our family history.. maybe I have information/pictures that you do not have and vice versa that we could share? My email address is Hiesela@aol.com...

RE: More on the Winn Memoirs
I think I have discovered a small crack in Mr. Winn's Memoirs ...
Below is a part of the memoirs in so many words ...

Jesse D. Winn, Jr. was the son of J.D.W., Sr. and his second wife Mary (Polly) Colbert (nee Gordon). He was the only son of this union. He was the 12th child of Jesse Sr.

Jesse D. Winn, Jr. was married twice. His first wife was Lucy Ann Taliaferro Buckner, b: 14 Oct 1808 d: 18 July 1849. 5 children with Benjamin S. Winn being the forth child born 30 May 1834.

Benjamin S. Winn married a Miss Smith and left at LEAST two sons surviving this union:
William Terry Winn: b:17 April 1858
George D. Winn: b: 27 May 1861.

In the above, the words "at least" indicates to me
the Memoirs is incomplete and that Lotus T. Winn Sr. was not known to James French Winn, the author, and therefore was not included.

Also, Benjamin S. married a second time either in Texas or Mexico. The lady was of Mexican birth. No marriage date/info or name given except they had two sons and a daughter (No info on these children). According to the memoir, Benjamin was murdered in Texas. No date/location given.

Perhaps Lotus was a child of this second union.
Considering the tools (or lack of tools) James French Winn had to use in 1941, this crack does not surprise me.

Does any of this sync up with what you have?
Hope this helps.
Chuck

More on the Winn Memoirs
If you would like a .pdf copy of the Memoirs I will send you one as soon as my son makes it for me.

I tried finding Weatherly in the Memiors but didn't find it. Can you provide a little bit more info such as what his mother's madien name is/was?

Where can I send .pdf files?
