I am a retired high school agriculture teacher and farmer. I have had a passion for researching family members, relatives and people that I have known. I have been researching my family for about 20 years and have recently discovered FAG. It is a wonderful tool to aid in finding lost relatives and recording loved ones. I have a lot of respect for people and their loved ones. I document your loved ones with respect, but if you want one removed from this site I will be happy to honor your request. My hope is to connect family with family. You may also use any of the photos I have posted for your own personal use. If I make an error on any memorial, please let me know and I will gladly correct it. If you desire to manage the memorial, please let me know. The best way to communicate is to use the edit button on the upper right of the page.

I am currently concentrating on the Delight AR Cemetery because that is the town that I grew up in and in which I am the most familiar.

RE: John Tackett children
Hi Doss,

I am not sure she has a memorial. I was looking at her parents:John Starks and Minnie (Sandlin) Tackett and saw she was not listed as one of their children. Minnie Myrtle b 14 July 1922 in Montgomery County, AR and d. 02 Dec 1979 in St. Louis MO

I was unaware there was an infant Johnnie lost at 1 year.

Thank You for your help.

Joel Pollard McKinney
Joel Pollard McKinney #74626772 was the son of E.J. McKinney #74626754 and Minnie Lee Pollard McKinney #74626803. Minnie and my grandmother were sisters. Their parents were Joel Thomas and Martha Elizabeth (Adamson) Pollard. The links on Joel Pollard McKinney's Memorial are incorrect.

Delight Cemetery is a delight!
I want to thank you for the outstanding job you have done on this cemetery. Your attention to detail has allowed me to separate out two lines of Slattons and Slatons (related but way back in GA) who are found in this yard. I cannot contact Annie202 to thank her, but I have posted an Edit in the hopes that she will change Mary Slatton Brown (Mrs S E) to Slaton, does not seem much with this family's penchant for variation, but it means something to me, as I am related to both lines.

Emma Francis Hardie Watkins
Whew! I'm trying to link up Wilson Collins Watkins with my great great aunt Emma Francis Hardie and I may have just tried to link her up to her son. Please forgive me if I did.

Barkers in the Delight AR Cemetry
Hi Doss, thank you for all your work on this site and in particular the Delight Cemetery. I am related to it seems all the folks buried there including both my parents, my maternal grandparents, great grandparents etc. Barkers, Lambs, Kelleys, and all the married folks who took their husbands names as well.
I am researching my mothers Barker side on Ancestry dot com among other family names, and I wonder about this record:

Eva T Barker who is my great grand aunt. Sister to my great grandmother, Maude Estell Barker Lamb. Eva died young on March 4, 1903. This might be a transcription error?

Birth: Dec. 27, 1878
Death: Mar. 2, 1963

Delight Cemetery
Pike County
Arkansas, USA

Find A Grave Memorial# 74573863

Since I won't be getting back there to check this myself till likely next summer, I wonder if you could check this for me? I would appreciate any help.

Secondly, there is another Barker sister to Eva and Maude that I cannot find her death records. It is for Nannie Lou Emily Barker b. 12/12/1893. The oral record through my Grannie is that she also died fairly young right after her parents, James and Emaline Barker. My Grannie (Pearl Lamb Martin) said she might have been buried with or next to her parents in an unmarked grave. (so sad!) I hope not, but this would have been around 1914 or 1915 perhaps that she died? I have one picture of Nannie that was taken in 1914 and the writing on the back says she was 19 year old. Again, any help or history would be so appreciated. My mother Meredith Alpha Martin Dawson had the genealogy bug for over 25 years and she passed it on to me! Really love family history.

Thank you with kind regards.
