I became involved in this when I was off on medical leave. I try to take care of picture requests for the Parsons, Ks. and surrounding cemeteries.I spend a lot of time walking the cemeteries and getting information and photos for the memorials. It is always absolutely fine with me if you use any and all photos I have taken for your ancestry.com trees or personal family trees and you do not need to give any credits to me. It has always been my idea that if we, as genealogists, do not share our discoveries and work as one big family, we are just making it harder to complete our own personal history books. I will gladly transfer requests from relatives unless they are also my own relative. I love everything historical and Find-A-Grave is a wonderful gift to us wanting to preserve history. Happy hunting! btw... I wanted to bring new attention to the virtual cemeteries that I have created. They are fellow class members of the 1970's Parsons High School USD503 Kansas |

|Gordon Huggins Jr||RE: Marty Puckett memorial|
I made a memorial for my sister's husband Marty Puckett unaware that you had already made one. Would you mind deleting yours as mine shows where he is buried.
Mark, thank you for transferring maintenance of my grandfather, James E. Comer Sr., to me. Jerry Warren, '59.

Mark, I have an ancestor buried in the so called lost, Old Oak Grove Cemetrey. TiagoRose said it existed as late as 1974. Was wondering if you ever found it. Would love to be able to see Burwell Nowlin's tombstone, as well as the two Stewart brothers markers. Burwell was my 4th great grandfather and the two boys were his grandsons. All disappeared from Ohio after 1860. Just recently found them here on Find A Grave, other family members are also missing in the area. Can you help? I'm in WV and can't come to the area to search for probably several years. The cemetery lookup gives a discription of just where it should be. Perhaps contact with the property owners could yeild some help? Regards. Rick Nowlin firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for your kind words. It bothers me to just find name, DOB and DOD....(seems so cold) how can we trace/find our relatives/family/friends with just that info? So I just put my foot in my mouth, and type on, ha. take care, Betty

What a great project!!! I used to teach elementary school in Chanute, so it is a small world. I now live in Edmond, Oklahoma but like to keep track of things in southeast Kansas. Thanks for all you do to promote family genealogies.

Glad to help! I just happened onto the family, and noticed that duplicate. What town are you doing your virtual cemetery for? Are you from Kansas? I grew up in Howard, Kansas and like to work on getting families in southeast Kansas linked together.

Thanks a million for the grave photo of Robert Sprouse Whitaker! Very little was known about him after he left Yadkin County but I found his burial and thanks to you the family now has a photo.
