I became involved in this when I was off on medical leave. I enjoy it more than I thought I would. I do this mainly because I'm into pleasing people. I try to take care of picture requests for the Parsons, Ks. and surrounding cemeteries.I spend a lot of time walking the cemeteries and getting information and photos for the memorials. I do not believe I "own" the photographs I take nor do I feel I have a copyright on them! I just don't get that philosophy, but, like I said, everyone has their own thoughts on why they contribute to FAG. I do not volunteer to do this for "credit" in any form—I am doing it to help other genealogists as they search for their ancestor's final resting places. It is always absolutely fine with me if you use any and all photos I have taken for your ancestry.com trees or personal family trees and you do not need to give any credits to me. It has always been my idea that if we, as genealogists, do not share our discoveries and work as one big family, we are just making it harder to complete our own personal history books. As far as transfers, if you are a relative of any degree or just someone "special" to the deceased, I will gladly transfer unless they are also my own relative. I love everything historical and Find-A-Grave is a wonderful gift to us wanting to preserve history. Happy hunting! btw... I wanted to bring new attention to the virtual cemeteries that I have created. They are fellow class members of the 1970's Parsons High School USD503 Kansas |

Mark, Thanks so much for the transfer of the above site. Lou's site is now coming alive with photos added. Thanks for creating the site. Richard
thank you for your bio and for the fact that you consider your photos there for all to use. I share the same feelings about the photos but was recently "chewed out" by a member for using a photo I thought I had permission from him to use. And then he proceeded to tell me how much work he does to get these photos and wants the credit for it. Plus not to edit his photos without permission either. I enjoy getting photos for people and believe my photos to be there for anyone to use that would like to use them in their own memorials.
Thanks for your service!

Hello again Mark,
Thank you for your generosity in transferring:
Dora Ellen Elledge Winkleblack # 64136730
to my care. I have successfully connected her with parents, 2 spouses and children. As I receive more information, I will add it to Our shared memorial.
With sincerest appreciation,

Thank you so much for looking for John L. Cribbett's headstone. Trusting from your report that it is no longer there, I've removed the photo request. And I've made a note on Find A Grave Memorial# 127616813 that the headstone is missing.

Thanks so much for adding the photo of Sarah Towles in the Franklin Cemetery. I was pleasantly surprised to see it!
|John Amrhein||Josephs - Franklin Cemetery|
I just wanted to say thank you for adding the photos of the Josephs in Franklin Cemetery, Labette, KS. Cyrus Joseph was my great-great-grandfather, who died at the age of 29. His daughter, my great-grandmother, died at age 96 just last year.

Hi Mark, I think you fixed it...you had her linked to spouse and had him as a parent also, but appears to be OK now. thanks!
