My name is Sheila Burgess Garrett, I was born and raised in Vicksburg, Michigan. I now reside in Olivet, Michigan with my husband Mike of 40 years. I was elected the Mayor of Galesburg in November of 2010, becoming the first female Mayor of this City, and relinquesed my title in November 2012 due to some major health issues I was going through. My husband and I moved in with my youngest son and daughter-in-law in December of 2012 - now I have lots of Grave hunting time..|
I love doing Genealogy, I want to leave my two sons and 7 Grand children with lots of info pertaining to there ancestors.
My families include the following,
Burgess, Hallam, Pace, Eagley, Cooper, Hodgman, Kaiser, Stillwell, Stockwell, Horton, Garrett, Robbins, Handy, Wright, and a few others..
And yes I have probably missed a few - and if I can help anyone please send an e-mail..
Thanks for all who have shared before me..
I am willing to Grave Stone hunt in Calhoun, Eaton, Barry, and Ingham Counties..

|Garaygen||Permission to copy photo?|
I thought I should let you know that I copied your photo of Irving Martin (105241932) onto the new entry I made for his wife, Harriet (160349326), who is also listed on the stone, but didn't have a findagrave entry until I made one. If you object to having the photo there, I'll be glad to remove it--just let me know. Thanks for all the work you do and best of luck. --Garaygen

|Lyn Neage||Headstone photos attached to wrong person|
Hi, Sheila -- The headstone photos you have attached to #133526074 actually belong to his son. There is no remaining headstone for the elder Benajah. Most of the old stones in this cemetery are crumbled and, sadly, piled in a jumble in the corner of the cemetery.
Please remove the headstone photos from this #133526074. And thank you so much for the photo which you've already attached to his son, # 40169475!

|Nancy Roemer||Thank you|
Thank you so very much for the photo of the headstone of Chloe Loomis Curtis. One of her daughters, Ellen Ruth, married John C Munn. After she passed after having 10 children he married her sister, Clara/Clarissa.
|Don Babas||Olive Hall Henton|
I think I know what happened... you took a photo of the gravestone for Olive - wife of Seth R. Henton. Her maiden name is Hall... Olive (Hall) Henton, then you added it to two different Olive Henton memorials. That photo belongs to the memorial for Olive (Hall) Henton, but does not belong to Olive P. (Foster) Henton who is the wife of Thomas Henton. Seth R. Henton & Thomas Henton are brothers and both were married to women by the name of Olive.
Seth R. Henton also has a granddaughter by the name of Olive E. (Henton) Edgett. her fathers name is Willis Seth Henton. All of these relatives are buried in Lawler Cemetery and it gets confusing sometimes.
Please remove the gravestone photo from the memorial for Olive P. (Foster) Henton and leave the photo on the memorial for Olive (Hall) Henton.
