I became interested in my ancestors when my granddaughter was born and I wanted her to know about her grandfather who had died five months before she was born. Now I am obsessed and it just keeps going on and on. My direct ancestors were Adams and Greene; Patrick and Champion from New Jersey, then North and South Carolina.
Greene cousin... I am also a direct Greene descendent... I'll try to add what I can. Please take a look at my Rosen Family Tree at Ancestry.com I'm finishing up this line to apply for the DAR later this summer.
It took me nearly a year to find Swift Cemetery. It is rather hidden and hard to get to if you do not know the way. It is directly behind Cove Creek Baptist Church high up on the hill. It is surround by pastures. Unfortunately, I took the route up the hill behind the church to find it. There was snow on the ground to add to the challenge! ;)
While there I found a better path. An easier way is to drive down the road probably 1/8th mile or less and turn right on a small dirt/gravel road leading up to a house. There is a small gated path on the right just off the gravel path which leads up to the cemetery. The road/path may be private property but I doubt the owners would mind since it appears flowers are commonly put on graves there and the cemetery is maintained.
That's exciting to hear to you are a descendant of Jacob and Elizabeth. Do you have much lineage above them? I have some lineage tracing Jacob back to William Greene and John Reeder on his mother's side but I'm not certain of all my info. I have no info for Elizabeth Davis' parents. I would be very grateful for any additional info you can offer or I would be happy to share mine or compare.
