|I grew up in South Dakota, lived in LA, CA for a year in my early 20's & came back home.|
I've been married for 28 years & have 2 beautiful children 1 young man 27 yrs old & one young lady 21 yrs. old. My son & his wife will be having a baby in January, so I will be a grandma for the first time.
I really feel that our ancestry is part of who & what we are. My mother & father were separated until they died (never divorced) & I didn't really get to know alot of the Hegdahls, Dragseths & Olsons on my dad side. My mom's relatives live or lived in New York & Scotland.
It was fantastic to actually find a picture of the steam ship my great grandfather Hegdahl came over on. Also my great grandmother Kari Dragseth.
That is all that I can think of right now, except this findagrave.com is amazing.

Thanks for letting me know. Do you think Andrew or Emma have any great great grandchildren I might send these pottery pieces too? I would live to put them back in family hands. Thank you

Hi, I have some beautiful hand-painted pottery signed Emma B. Olson 1923. I am looking for her living relatives to send them too. Let me know if this might be the Emma I have been looking for.

Is he buried at Calhoun with his wife? I was thinking just to show the link to the other memorial as you already have it listed on the other memorial. It could be listed as a Cenotaph or whatever they call them when they are buried in one place and have a stone somewhere else.

I am putting a website together that is a tribute to those who served with the 7th Bomb Group during WW2, including my Grandfather and your father. The website can be found at dainthecbi.com
I'd like to know whether or not you or your family would be willing to share copies of any documents or photographs that your father may have saved from his time in the military. I'm specifically interested in those that pertain to his service with the Army Air Corps. I would like to include his info in a display that would honor his service to our country.
Any such info, even a photo of Sgt. Hegdahl and a short biography would be greatly appreciated and would be welcome additions to what I have already put together.
I look forward to hearing from you.
