I am currently working on several family trees and The Find A Grave website has been very helpful with them. I look forward to helping others in their search, and hope others will help me in mine as well.
I enjoy exploring the cemeteries and taking photos for the Find A Grave website and it's users(as well as for myself). Some people think I am strange lol, but I find such peace and serenity in the cemeteries!
I DO NOT attempt to clean or alter the stones in any way! I take photos of the stones "as is" to avoid risk of damage. I do, however, sometimes manage to get the reflection of myself or others in the stone, sorry lol.
I DO NOT save any of the tombstone photos that I take for photo requests, unless they are connected to one of my family trees, so feel free to copy them for your personal use! I just ask that you do not take credit for my photos!
Mary Wood Thank you so much for taking the photograph of Mary Wood's headstone. She may be a (several) great Aunt of mine. I am trying to find out. Her birthday on her stone is a few days off from what I have - but my records could be a bit off.
110956335 Thank you for trying! I bet they already deleted it, since it was a duplicate. I had downloaded the picture you took, and will email it to you, so you can upload it to the original site so you will be credited for it. Thank you so much! Lynn
William A BAKER #110956335 Thank you for posting the photo! William is my 3rd great-uncle. I am working on my BAKER family, and just realized there are duplicate memorials for him. The earlier one was created in 2007 and is memorial #21663256. I have written the creator of 110956335, but not sure if they will delete it or not. Could you upload the picture you took of his headstone to the earlier memorial #21663256? Thank you so much for your trouble and help, and all of your work on here. Sincerely, Lynn
Sue Lupton: Thank you so much for filling the "Photo Request," for my late cousin Sue Lupton. I found her back in "2005," on a genealogy research website and bless her heart, she and I exchanged our "Boone" family information, and worked together on trying to find out more research on our "Boone/Saville" Family from West Virginia. Thank "God," I got to meet her and her sweet mother, Lois, (who's also is a "Saville Cousin" to me on our "Saville" side) at one of our families "Boone Family Reunion," in my mother's hometown of Winchester, Frederick Co., Virginia., back in (2005). So thank you for your time, and have a blessed "Thanksgiving!" :)
