After reading an article about two ladies in Barry County (MI) who transcribed ALL of the cemeteries in the county, I started looking for some of my relatives there. I found a lot of them as many were pioneers there in the 1840's and 1850's. I decided to pay the favor forward and started doing the local cemetery. To my surprise there were over 3,700 graves in the small cemetery! Then I decided to take photos of all of them. I did it all in about three months. Now I am looking forward to additional cemeteries.
Since then, thanks to "findagrave", I have found many relatives in other parts of Michigan and Canada. Very interesting, rewarding and addicting.
