Cemetery searches are from Sept-April. Summer is too hot in Texas. I have been into genealogy research since 2000 and before that a high school biology teacher in Houston, Texas but I was born and raised in the country. Fortunately, I now live in a spot where I can barely see the lights of another house. My husband goes with me on some cemetery searches and so does my sister. I am very active in our local cemetery in Colony, Texas which is the resting place of my ancestors and their neighbors. I organize the Brown Reunion and write and distribute the Brown Reunion Newsletter annually. We are currently trying to raise enough money to restore the inside of our little country church founded by my great, great, great grandfather. My other hobby is quilting.
