Bio Photo As my wife and I travel we try to fulfill requests where ever we are. We enjoy walks through different cemeteries. We find there is a lot of history, culture, and art to be seen in them as well as some very interesting inscriptions.
The discrepancy between our added and managed memorials result from taken over some memorials from a fallen graver.

TRANSFERS: PLEASE USE THE EDIT TAB TO REQUEST TRANSFERS. WE VERY SELDOM RESPOND TO EMAIL AND MESSAGE REQUESTS.
If we have management of your relatives site and you would like to have it transferred to you please let us know and we will transfer it to you. Please also include your relationship to the person you are requesting transferred.
Also note that if your request is abrupt, demanding or in any way construed to be unpleasant, you will not hear from us.. We have grown very tired of this type of request.
The exception of course to a transfer is that if it is our direct relative we would be inclined to keep it ourselves.

As far as the pictures and information we enter on Find A Grave, feel free to use it for any Non Commercial purpose. We have no desire to try to control its usage or be credited for it. If it is for a commercial purpose, please contact us first.
I photo document large areas and do not strive for quality when I am just gathering pictures to make memorials from... I do post some of these photos, but will willingly remove them for a better photo if you have one...

PLEASE use the Edit tab located at the top right for corrections, additional information or to request transfers.

RE: Oscar Eckman Daisy Johnson
Hi JD,
I just spoke with someone at Mountain View Memorial Park, and they confirmed that Oscar Eckman and his wife Daisy Johnson Eckman are there. They are in spaces #2 and #3, Lot 144, Section Rose. I hope this information helps.
Thank you so much for your efforts and time.
Have a fantastic day!

RE: Gladys Wilkinson
Hello JD...
Sorry for my delayed response. Thanks so much for looking for Gladys. This information is very helpful.
One thing I am looking for is her father...Joseph LaGrande.(Joe Grande) He died up in Greys Harbor but according to the cemetery where he was cremated his ashes were returned to the mortuary, so we are thinking maybe Gladyis took his remains. She died a year after he did, so his remains are unknown. I was thinking they might be near her.
Thanks again. I will look into the information you left for me!!!!

Hey
Hi JD,
Just wanted to check in since I've been out of the loop. How have things been for you?
I have been at this full time job with Alaska Air Cargo since December and it never seems that I have time for much, LOL. I work swing and take the bus to work so I leave my house about 12:30p for a 1:15p bus and then work 3p to 11:30p and then bus home and back in Tacoma about 12:30a......man, I get pooped, LOL.
Needless to say I haven't been graving for awhile.
What's new? How are the home projects?
Chad

RE: Hume
This just makes me angry that people do this type of stuff! If you're going to upload the memorials, then take care of them. I will help you, what can I do from here? I'm wondering if you tried to contact this group, who may have been the ones to upload the memorials to Find A Grave??? I searched their database and Ida Hume is listed...

RE: Re Ida E. Hume
Hi JD,
I realize that your memorial is in the correct cemetery, but Find A Grave rules state (or they used to- haven't looked at them in a while) that in the case of duplicate memorials, the first one created remains.

To avoid duplicating a memorial, you should always do a search for an individual's name before entering a new memorial. If you had done this and found the other memorial, you then could have sent the contributor a message with the correction, because it's relatively easy to move a memorial to another cemetery.... IF after 30 days you had not received a response from the contributor or the correction had not been made, you could have forwarded the message to edit@findagrave.com and asked them to move the memorial to the correct cemetery- or whatever the correction was.
I use the "Suggest Any Other Correction" under the tab "Edit" on memorials to do these requests and I always check the box to send me a copy of the email, that way I have something to forward to the admins, if the contributor doesn't respond.

I've had a good response in doing this, it takes patience because you have to wait, but it does get done!

So, did you look at their memorial today? They added this note-
Ida Hume's cremains are interred at Oakwood Cemetery in Tacoma in Section J Tier 6 Niche 2 Can 995.
Note: Updates/corrections completed 05/2015 by JD (47374999)

So, they are not "inactive" ... and this note doesn't fix the duplicate problem. Since they responded to my request by adding that note, I'm going to contact them again and explain that they need to either move their memorials that are in the wrong cemeteries or delete them. IF they choose to move them, you may find yourself deleting your duplicates...

We have been trying to find Terrance "Terry" Walker for some time now. He married a cousin, Verna B. and noticeably he died young. People born during this generation are difficult to find. Thank You so Very much. Kaye
