Currently I just fulfill photo requests. I enjoy the research and being outdoors taking pictures. I mostly work on local cemeteries and try to keep them updated on a monthly basis.

Thanks Jeff, I appreciate the effort.

I have to agree with you about touching or moving old stones about, it's risky business.

I have unearthed a few in my time, those stones they lay flat on the ground are very susceptible to changes in the earth around them and often "sink into oblivion".

I actually had a case where I unearthed a stone only to have someone question it's authenticity and suggest that I had photo shopped the stone !!!

It's only with great care that I have lifted an old stone to see what it says, but if you're careful it can reap rewards for family members.

Enjoy the day !

Hi Jeff,

You're at it again ! Glad to see you contributing again, at least for some of my photo requests.

Nice job adding the overall shot as I call it, a photo of the general grave area. It makes it easier to find the grave if you know what the surroundings look like.

I don't always get to visit a new grave site when custodians are around so sometimes I'm walking around searching.

Thanks again,

Bob Purple

P.S. I don't know why I didn't ask for a photo of Hannah Luce - but - since you made a note on the photo for her husband Willam that her stone was on the ground, I put in yet another photo request. Any chance you will be out that way ?

As always, let me know if I can help you with people in northeast Massachusetts
